Check the link for the specs. But be forewarned. There is absolutely nothing even remotely new or spectacular. It could have been a launch device.

In the larger scheme of things, hitting 20,000 apps is a small milestone, but there’s no doubt that momentum is building on the software side of things for WP7. What’s remarkable is that we’re barely a month past talking about hitting 10k – so things are moving. Now if only MS would do something about giving opening up access to the Marketplace…you still can’t get in from outside the few countries that were available at launch.

“While Apple might be pretty good at creating TV ads, the company’s iPhone is something of a problem for television advertisers. According to a recent study, the iPhone (and other smart phones) are one of the major distractions people encounter when watching TV.”

Anything that is “aiding in avoidance” is troubling to the advertising industry per AdAge. So when they decided to do a study and find out exactly how much distraction do smartphones cause television viewers. They didn’t like the results. During a 30 minute show, 94% of viewers were distracted at some point, and smartphones accounted for 60% of these distractions. I can totally see this as I do exactly the same thing. Multitask7 will soon be released to the public as a legitimate multi-tasking solution for Windows Phone 7. For those of you who haven’t seen the video, the minute and a half is well worth it. The video shows the utilization of a quick app switcher which can be launched by half-pressing the camera button. A timer is used to show that an app can be run in the background while completing other tasks. Hopefully the team behind it over at Windows Phone Hacker will release the program soon. Some caveats though, this does require a developer unlocked device to install. Once the program is released we’ll be sure to update our readers.
